In mid-July brides nationwide were blindsided by Alfred Angelo Bridal filing for bankruptcy and closing their doors without notice. Hundreds of thousands of brides were left with the dress they said "Yes!" to, locked in stores unable to retrieve them and some had put deposits on gowns they would not receive. In Los Angeles, bridal stores stepped up to help ease some of the stress from this bridal disaster.
